ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

1 st International Conference Modern research trends in biomedical sciences: a holistic approach to healthcare, hosted at the Institute of Health Sciences, University of Opole, Poland, from the 17th to the 19th of April 2024 under the auspices of the rector of the University of Opole, Prof. Dr hab. Marek Masnyk and the president of Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, Prof. Wen-Jui Lo.

The conference topics focus on contemporary research trends in biomedical sciences that use a holistic biomedical-psychotherapeutic approach and result in healthcare practice implementation. The holistic description of health and disease integrates various research fields of biological, chemical, medical, health, sociological, and psychological sciences, concerning not only molecules, cells, or organs but also individuals, families, communities, healthy and sick populations, and the natural and man-made environments.

The primary goall of the conference is to present innovative results of biomedical research and obtain new knowledge in the fields of health sciences, medical sciences, and related sciences, especially ininterdisciplinary research fields, at the individual and population levels.

The expected effects include obtaining the latest knowledge on interdisciplinary research trends in biomedical sciences and the holistic approach to healthcare, overcoming stereotypical thinking in the process of solving current and anticipating future research problems, strengthening good practices in the field of science, establishing and strengthening professional contacts, international cooperation, and dissemination of a positive model of scientific work as a potential path to building a professional career for university graduates.

The conference program includes  three plenary sessions, presentations of research projects as part of the Master Class module, a module for young scientists, including students, an e-poster session, two scientific debates, and specialized scientific workshops to choose from.

The extremely highly substantive level of guests from Europe, the USA, Japan, and Taiwan, and the training panels, discussions, and debates distinguish the conference among national proposals.

Participants will receive certificates and educational points.

The conference will be held in the building of the University of Opole, Collegium Salutis Humanae, at Katowicka 68 in Opole.
